In 1970, Byllie Andrews began her teaching career in Washoe County at Vaughn Middle School. (above)

Byllie went on to teach at Hug High School, Reed High School, Incline High School, Galena High School, the University of Nevada, Sierra Nevada College, and Rainshadow Community Charter High School.

Byllie with members of the Math Club celebrating a month's worth of mathematicians' and scientists' birthdays at Incline High School.  (center left) Byllie's students started the birthday tradition at Reed High School, and she carried it through her high school teaching career, celebrating math, science, and history with any student wishing to participate in the lunchtime meetings.
