District 27: the heart of Reno

Including Downtown Reno, Virginia Lake, historic South Virginia Street and Wells Avenue, Old Southwest Reno, and Meadowood Mall, District 27 is one of the most diverse Assembly districts in the state. A wide variety of people — students, families, renters, homeowners, small businessmen — live and work in our neighborhoods, and many who don't live within its boundaries use it every day for the goods and services found in our business districts.

When we first moved to Reno in 1970, my husband and I chose a small apartment near the intersection of Plumas and Mount Rose Streets, and I bought a home just a few blocks away when I returned to the area. I am committed to a future for Nevada which includes and recognizes the value that historic cores have for our cities, and as I learn more about you and your connection to District 27, I'll want to hear your ideas!
